Vision systems expert Karl Holt to spearhead international growth

Experienced vision systems expert Karl Holt has joined our team as Visions Solutions Director and will head up our vision inspection arm as we expand into Europe.

Karl joins us from Dimaco Vision Systems, where he spent the last five years successfully generating worldwide sales of vision inspection equipment to the food, drinks and cosmetic industries. He is also a qualified engineer, with a wealth of experience specifying and selling vision systems.

As one of the most regulated industries in the world, food production is subject to increasing consumer scrutiny and strict labeling requirements.

Recalls in the food industry are both expensive and damaging. What’s more, labeling errors and omissions account for the majority of recall notices, so a reliable vision inspection system – capable of assessing label contents – is paramount.

Delivering pinpoint accuracy, the SparcEye label inspection system is designed to be fully incorporated into Sparc’s 420 range. Inaccuracies in product labeling are identified via the continuous top and bottom label inspection, forming a vital link in the traceability chain.

By automating processes and removing the need for human intervention, a repeatable and consistent production process can be achieved, driving increased efficiency, security and control of product quality, and eliminating errors in date and price coding and allergen labeling.
